Cuttack Circle Mining Office, started functioning in the Cuttack Town Since 22.07.1980 under Steel & Mines Department, control by the Director of Mines, Orissa, Bhubaneswar headed by the Mining Officer.

Aims, Objection & Responsibilities :

This Circle Mining Office covers its Jurisdiction of Sadar Sub-Division Banki & Athagarh, Sub-Division of Cuttack District, all Sub-divisions of Khurda, Puri & Nayagarh Disrtrict with Headquarters at-Cuttack. The Aims, Objection & Responsibilities of Circle is to process all Mineral Concession application in respect of Major Mineral & Minor Minerals in accordance with Mineral Concession Rules-1960, administration mineral bearing leases in accordance with difference Rules in vogue and also Collect Mining Revenue in respect of the Circle fixed by the Department on despatch of Minerals from the lease hold areas.
